Frequently Asked Questions About Adoption
Find answers to common questions about adopting a rescue animal, the process, and how you can provide a safe and loving home.
Where is the adoption centre located?
The SPCA Kota Kinabalu adoption centre is located at Kg Gana Papar.
Is there an adoption fee?
Yes. The fee helps cover vaccination, medical care, and preparation costs to ensure the animal is healthy before adoption.
Why should I neuter my pet?
Neutering helps prevent unwanted breeding, reduces stray animal populations, and improves your pet’s overall health and behaviour.
Can SPCA Kota Kinabalu take in stray animals?
We do not routinely take in stray animals unless they are in critical condition such as severe injuries or life threatening situations. Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept all stray cases.
